Mermaid and the Alligator Room & Patio

If there was ever a review titled Finally found, Paradise on Earth! The Mermaid and the Alligator perfectly sums up this unbelievable Bed & Breakfast. We were granted the Papaya and Key Lime rooms for our part of four and both are just exquisite. You can stroll around the property and see something new around every corner or ride your bike to just about anywhere in Key West from this wonderful location. If you are driving from Miami, I did not like that place, next time we will fly directly into KW, drop the car off at the rental car agency. You won't need it at all. You can pick it up for your return trip to the airport on the day you leave. The weather in Key West is always tropical even in the winter months so expect some rain and allot of fun. Wear sunscreen all the time! If you get burnt. Go to Key West Aloe around the corner they will fix you right up!

We were first time patrons at the Mermaid and the Alligator. We can say with much assuredly that we will be return customers. We stayed in the lovely Garden Room. From the second we arrived, we were greeted and felt right at home. Not only were the accommodations spectacular and far better than we expected, but everything including the weather made our stay at the M & A as wonderful as the website reviews said t would. Dean is the owner and his breakfast's were a superb way to start the day. By enjoying wine in the afternoon and leaving Duval for an early evening in the most delicate of landscaped gardens, we never really wanted to leave the property. Because the location was so convenient we felt we had to see some of the sites, but coming home was our favorite part. We will definitely be come back and recommend this lovely B&B to all our friends whom are planning a visit to Key West.
