We saved over $40 a night on a large 2 bedroom suite. I searched and searched. I went with the Travel Lodge mostly for the rate. The 2 bedroom suites in Key West are just outrageously priced because they're hard to find. I spent days searching. Then I was afraid the place was a dump because it was so much cheaper. I was pleasantly surprised, it was very nice and clean. The Travel Lodge is very easy to find and is convenient to everything. If you're looking for an affordable, large amount of space in Key West. | I just got back from Key West and wanted to write a review on the Travel Lodge. I too got a great on-line rate here and was very happy. The quality was great and the price was extremely low compared to everything else I found. The only thing is that it's not downtown. If you want to go out and party you have to spend a little bit of that savings on a cab. If you want to walk to everything, just expect to pay a lot more. It's a small island so we hoped on a couple of scooters and got all around easy. We would have rented the scooters anyway which were more then free with the money we saved on a room. | They have a pool and parking. That's obvious from the photos but there are a lot of places in Key West that don't have a pool or a parking lot, for more money! I agree on the location. Key West is so small it really is not an issue. Another thing to consider is that downtown is almost solid bars that are open and loudly "rockin" until 4am. The Travel Lodge is quieter for sure. And if you're like me a cab is a good thing at 4am after a long night of partying. It's an awesome place to party, relax, and feel safe all at the same time. Hard to find that anywhere.
