My girlfriend and I stayed at the La Te Da in early June with some friends. We were very happy with everything. The staff was helpful and friendly, the food was fresh and service was spot on. The location is unbeatable. Close to everything, but not right in the noise of Duval. We went to one of the Cabaret shows at the hotel which was an absolute riot, so  fun. We had their free breakfast which was included in the restaurant every morning. It wasn't just a cheesy continental breakfast though, but eggs made to order, bacon, French toast or pancakes, awesome. Our friends that came with us had a problem with their a/c in their room. They called the front desk and the hotel staff quickly changed their room. No questions asked. I would recommend the LaTeDa without any hesitation to anyone. Straight, gay, it doesn't matter. Everyone is welcome at the La Te Da. Great place to stay.

The only bad thing I have to say about the Key West La Te Da is that the bathrooms (although clean and spacious) are standard and not as elegant as the rest of the property is. Other than that my luxury room was large, clean, and had been updated unlike the bathroom. The decor is tropically elegant, with French doors opening up to the deck overlooking the pool which is perfect. Daily maid service was great. I can't begin to say how happy I was when I checked in. Everything looked exactly like the photos on your website. The pool is open 24/7 and my favorite thing to do was come back from a long night of dancing and dive into that cool pool under the stars. It was really nice to be able to get a real breakfast in the morning without having to run out to a breakfast place. I know everyone raves about that, and I see why. Some people have complained about noise on other sites, but I didn't have a problem with noise at all. My take on it is they shouldn't go to key west, stay on Duval, and plan on getting to bed at a decent hour. That and they are not pounding music until 4am like every other bar in town. Again if you want peace and quiet at 9pm go to Naples. The staff was attentive and pleasant always. I am already planning my next trip back to Key West, and I'll be staying at La Te Da.

We have just returned from our weeks stay at the La te Da Key West Hotel. I have to say all the reviews are 100% correct. There isn't a parking lot, but you can find parking on the street, and there is no crime, your car will be safe. We found parking around the corner in the lot of the local bank. Everything was fine, although they did have signs saying they would tow. It was rental, we didn't think much of it and it was still there at the end of the week. We had a room right off of the pool and I think most rooms are the same. We don't have any complaints at all with room, it was nicely decorated and very clean. It smelled like fresh flowers instead of chemicals like most hotels. We ate in the restaurant most evenings and the food was top notch. Of coarse the breakfast everyone raves about was not missed, very nice. We explored the island and the nearby beach. We ended up spending more time at the hotel than we had ever anywhere else. We didn't want to leave!

The Lateda hotel is located right on Duval Street (the main drag) on the lower end, so it's away from the loud bars but an easy walk to the major attractions. Duval street is beautiful with historic colonial style homes and a great atmosphere. There are a lot people who over indulge in alcohol all day long! But there's a lot of fun things to do there without drinking to oblivion (not to say I didn't do that ever, I'm not a total %$#). Tons of watersports and boating trips to go on. The pool at the La Te Da is small compared to "regular" hotels, but is larger than most in Key West and serves the purpose. You can relax there, order drinks, and go for a swim anytime. They  have cabaret shows most nights which seems to be very popular with tourists. We unfortunately didn't have time for that, it looks fun.

We have one major complaint (people are saying that there are no complaints) - that we couldn't stay longer and had to come home. We will surely go back here. The staff was fantastic and the location is absolutely perfect. Key West is such a great vacation destination for anyone. We loved everything about La Te Da! That's our best attempt at a complaint.

I know I'm not adding anything new, but I found the other reviews here to be right on about the Key West LaTeDa. Nice staff (Mark and Mindy) behind the bars, and Shawn working the front desk and phones. Strong cocktails to end the day (or start hehe). I stayed in room 33 which was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom was tiny and the a/c was cranking the whole time to keep it cool (I did go in August). I traveled alone, so it was enough space and the bed was plush comfy. I was able to see some of the other guestrooms (See A Room) and they looked very nice. Pretty much the same thing I got. Some are just bigger I think. They included breakfast with the room and it's a great deal. They serve it until 10:30, so if you party late, you may not sleep through it the next morning. The parking was a little hard to find when I first got there, but I eventually found a place to park right next to the hotel. Once you get a spot, you won't need to move your car anywhere on the island. You can walk to everything. I can't wait to head back and share the LaTeDa with my new girlfriend! It's a romantic spot for sure.
