Ibis Bay Key West Reviews While visiting Key West in Florida, we had booked the Ibis Bay Resort for our 9day-long vacation. Nestled just towards the border of Old Town Key West, this is an amazing economy resort ideal for families and couples. In contrast to most of the chain hotels, this resort in the city of Key West, Florida is a small family-friendly venue. Also, the setting is not far from the Key West Intl. Airport. Hence, we preferred this resort for our holiday accommodation. The resort boasts a total of 71 guest rooms and two suites; we had booked a family suite, which was one of the best rooms that the Ibis Bay Resort has to offer. The room was neat, air conditioned and wonderfully decorated. Bathroom was also clean and fresh towels were provided on a regular basis. Overlooking the tropical courtyard, our room offered a refreshing and breathtaking nature view. The resort offers regular housekeeping services. As per our request, the staff provided us a fridge and a microwave.Nestled adjoining the bay, the resort offers an amazing choice of water activities for all its guests to enjoy. The resort provides jet ski, fishing charters, sunset cruises, scuba dive accessories, kayak rentals, and eco-tours for its guests. Those who want to book any of these tours or activity package can speak with the resort concierge staff for more information. As most of us were keen to do scuba diving and Para-sailing, we had booked only for these activities. We also took the self-guided bike tours to explore the city of Key West. The resort also offers car and bikes for rental, so guests can get best-priced rentals to tour the area. Ibis Bay is bordered by a chain of several casual and upscale family restaurants. In addition, there is also an array of fast food chains including KFC and 7 Days Bakery & Deli. Being a seaside city, Key West boasts a number of seafood restaurants. Believe it or not, we relished some of the best seafood dishes while vacationing in Key West. Also, there is a selection of upscale pubs and bars near to this resort. Guests interested for a party night can check out with the hotel concierge and book exclusive night tours. Ibis Bay Resort is close to some of the city’s most popular venues including some nationally acclaimed museums, botanical gardens, zoos, and forest gardens, galleries and shopping avenues. It just took us few minutes to reach some of these venues from our resort. If you don’t want to hire a taxi or take a rental car, you can always choose the local transportation option. All in all, the resort offers a direct and easy access to all popular venues that the city of Key West has to offer. Overall, we had a wonderful experience staying at this resort. The resort staff was friendly and courteous; they helped us in planning our tours and fun activities.
