Best Western Key West Guest Reviews

Best Western Key West

The points that sold me on staying at the Best Western In Key West were; they have free parking in an oversize lot so space is not a problem, which is a rare commodity in Key West, they have a free breakfast they offer in the mornings which was nice, they have a pool which is another rare option here, and finally they rent scooters right there in the parking lot. All of this for a room that only had one surprise when we got there. Let's face it, the best western isn't know for being the top in luxury, but this particular one is a higher quality than any I've seen. If you just want a clean room at a good price, then the Best Western will probably exceed your expectations. I was pleased. Convenience is their trump card. You can pull in the lot, check in, throw your stuff in the room, go down and jump on a scooter and hit the island. What's not to like?

Personally for me I had been to Key West and stayed down at the other end and was sorry. This time I stayed at the Best Western Hibiscus and was much happier. When the lights go out you won't hear the beating of base in the bar next door until 4am. Why get a room at all? If you're coming down to relax and enjoy Key West for the Caribbean island that it is, then you need to stay on this side. The best beach on the island is right around the corner and the best restaurants including fine dinning is all right there. You can walk to the Southernmost Point marker in about five minutes. The majority of the touristy stuff isn't in this immediate area, so it's the laid back uncrowded area I prefer personally. The rooms of the hotel are enormous and they have a mini-frig and microwave in the room. Comfortable accommodations and the free wireless Internet let me check my e-mail and keep up with things back home. No that I wanted to work at all, but not having to worry about anything means being able to truly unplug yourself and relax. I felt like I found the best hotel in Key West and for the money compared to others all around it I believe it's a fact.

We live in Florida and enjoy vacationing in the state. We had never been to Key West before and my wife loves the Hibiscus flow so when she saw the Best Western Hibiscus it was over. I was very thankful it wasn't the Ritz Hibiscus. My wallet was very happy with the choice and from the moment we called them to book a room to when we left the folks at the Best Western were hospitable and made sure we were pleased with the lodging. We didn't explore very much so I can't really say how the whole island is, but I can say we spent the majority of our time all around the hotel. Great beach with a bar and grill is right there. The pool and hot tub were awesome. Rooms are what you expect to get with Best Western. We didn't get far but had a fantastic time, which was the goal. We'll go back and I hear the rest of the island is really cool.

We don't have anything to complain about either. The Best Western Key West is just that, the best. We'll stay there for sure next year when we return.

My husband and I just returned from the Hibiscus. This wasn't a typical Best Western at all. The rooms are huge, immaculately clean, with microwave and frig in the room. There's a deli/convenience store and liquor store across the street. We filled the fridge with food and soda immediately and made a mini bar of all the liquors we'd never had. We had a lot of fun. We spent most days by the pool which had plenty of lounge chairs. When we needed to cool off we jumped in the pool, when we wanted to relax we got in the hot tub, and when we wanted a drink we went back to the room and hit the open bar! Good times. We explored the island a few times and also had a good time but we felt like we enjoyed the hotel more than anything else. Paradise found.
