My husband and I stayed at the
Casa Marina Resort in Key West for our honeymoon and it was paradise!
Our ocean view suite was decorated with a modern elegance, was very open
and spacious. The resort is breathtaking inside and out. It's a very
impressive structure. It was originally built in the 20's and they have
managed to preserve all of it's charm The landscaping of the grounds
surrounding the property and especially the pool was immaculately kept.
The staff is friendly and professional as you would expect from such a
first class resort. The view from the room and everywhere else we were
here was fabulous. This is a beautiful Resort in Key West. When it came
time to explore the island we rented bikes and found that was the way to
go. Unless you plan on going out for dinner or cocktails dressed nicely,
rent a bike and ride around. You will miss a lot if you try to drive
around. Parking a bike is breeze no matter where you go.
We just got back home from the Casa Marina Resort after a week long
stay. We reserved our room directly with the resort with the number from
See A Room Key West! I don't like jumping through all the hoops of
booking on-line. I'm much less concerned there will be a mistake if I
talk to the hotel directly. You get the best deals when you book
reservations directly too. When we were enjoying the pool I met a
gentleman that had been staying at the resort every year for 23 years.
Aside from the updates to the property, he said that they haven't
changed they're level of management and quality the entire time he's
been vacationing here. The Casa Marina is one of the few places in the
world maintaining the effort and service of the past twenty years. For
the price level to stay here we agreed that you really get your moneys
worth unlike many resorts these days. I only hope I can be lucky enough
to be able to go back for the next 23 years and pass the story on.
We have stayed in suites at the Casa Marina in Key West for the last
three vacations to Key West. The renovations they completed were
excellent. This resort is a true American classic. They spent the time
to insure the details and important points of the property where
preserved and restored. It was masterfully done. On our last vacation we
had a two bedroom suite. We were traveling with friends and it was nice
to have the privacy. The cost was less than two individual rooms as well
which we liked. I remember it was very difficult to find such a suite in
Key West. This vacation my family of four had a one bedroom suite. For
family this was fine. The room was laid out nicely. The furniture and
decor after the renovation is very stylish and inviting. The bathrooms
are really big and the water pressure in such a large building is
awesome. Blows the salt right off after laying on the beach all day. We
have children and the Casa Marina is a very family friendly
accommodation. They loved the beach and pool. We had a hard time getting
them to leave the resort during the day. Admittedly we wanted to lay on
the beach all day too. The setting is ideal for relaxing and forgetting
you have any responsibility. The wrap around sofa with big plasma tv
made the room feel like home. We spent a few evenings relaxing in the
room watching tv. The sofa was very comfortable. This year we rented
bikes and jet skis. The snorkeling trip to the reef is something
everyone should do. It is truly spectacular. As is the Casa Marina.
