Westwinds Key West Reviews

My wife and I and our closest friends decided to take a short trip down to Key West for a couple of nights in during high season, because we live up the Keys we figured we could just drive down and find a room. It was almost impossible for us to find a room that was vacant. Fortunately for us the Westwinds had a cancellation because of a snow storm up north. We were able to get two suites, which were really very large and extremely comfortable. The prices were great especially with what the competition was charging all around them, so even with availability we would have chosen the Westwinds. Talking to other guests we found that the other rooms in the Inn are different and is kind of like a compound with many buildings connected with the two pools, tropically landscaped patios and a host of porches. Our mini-vacation was all very positive.

We stayed at the Westwinds in March, because my best friend was getting married in their garden gazebo. Its was so romantic and special. Just a short walk the harbor and Duval St. made for a terrific location. We found the low prices more than reasonable. The lowest priced rooms are the smallest, but large enough to be really good rooms. Besides that you really spend little time in the rooms anyway,  the pools or old town are much more interesting things to do in Key West. This accommodation was ideal for an island getaway vacation. The gardens are spectacular and when you have a bunch of friends spending quality time in the gardens together they seem even prettier. There was a fun loving cat at the guest house to play with, her name is Pumpkin. She never irritated us and most of the other people we talked to loved her as well. The front desk staff  helped us plan everything. We were very grateful for that, being  larger party. The island activities were stupendous. Old Town Key West has so much to offer you just cant experience it all in just one visit. With that in mind  we will be back as soon as possible, we will stay at the Westwinds. We loved Key West.


This Inn has a marvelous location and the tropical grounds are exceptional for any type of accommodation. The prices at the Westwinds in Key West are really low for the location and the amenities they provide. You wont find a TV in the room but you will get a great atmosphere with quaint and lovely areas to sit, lounge, and relax.
