The La Te Da is a great hotel. The staff is very friendly and the rooms
are
great. We stayed our first two nights in a deluxe room with French doors opening up to the
beautiful pool. Our room was very big with a California king sized bed.
Very well decorated with an elegant classy style with Caribbean furniture.
Because we decided to stay one extra night at the last minute, they had to upgrade us to
a luxury room. It was a little more, but I highly recommend the upgrade for the money. The luxury room was
absolutely huge. Also had a California King size
bed and a big whirlpool Jacuzzi. The free breakfast was exceptional, ordered and not
from a cheap buffet of cereals and toast. The menu looked so good it almost made
us want to pass up the free
options. The restaurant was quaint, in the middle of the building in a way with
an opening in the middle. It made the air flow through nicely and was very
comfortable. The prices were affordable for the caliber of place it is. It's a
popular place for tourists not staying there as well. The pool was a medium
size, but very clean and cool. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the cabaret shows
with our busy schedule of drinking and partying, but we'll be back and catch it.
It was sold out every night. The La te da gives you first class service and
amenities for a coach price. Can't be better. It's just a great place to a spend
your key west
vacation.
Because we loved the bar so much on our last vacation, my husband and I chose to stay here for this
trip. We booked with the hotel directly and got a much better rate than
on the booking sites. The number for the front desk is right here. Pick up the
phone and call them, you'll save a lot especially if you're flexible with your
dates. It's always good to save were you can. We
stayed in room 33 which is upstairs and away from the bars and restaurant. We
were afraid that we may have some trouble
sleeping with 2 bars and a restaurant on the property, but it was not even any
issue and we slept great. The staff was really entertaining and took great care
of us. Doug (bartender) is hilarious, and has great recommendations on where to eat,
drink, get crazy. The TV was a bit tiny, but when we came back from drinking and
partying on Duval, we spent most of the time with
the staff and regulars. We didn't watch much and a big screen isn't needed for a
little news before going to bed. The desserts from the
restaurant are out of this world. There's a little homemade ice-cream parlor
just w few blocks down with a flamingo on the sign. Some of the best ice-cream
we have ever had, every night. The Atlantic is only 3 blocks away, with a great
beach (best on the island). The La Te Da is located far
enough away from the bars and night life, that it is quiet in the evenings.
There's a private
beach behind the La Mar house that has a bar and waitresses/waiters who come out
and bring you drinks. Again it's just two minutes walk from the hotel.
I have stayed out on Roosevelt blvd in the corporate hotels in the past
and they are way to far. This hotel is worth the money and romantic. In the end
it was not much more than those out on Roosevelt. We are done searching for
places to stay
in Key West. This is the best. We have
not stayed at the pricey, luxury, sell your first born to afford one night hotels. We
just figure why spend the money on those places, when you get so much more bang
for the buck at the La Te Da. The hotel is
for couples, singles, anyone except kids (adults only) even better.
