Suite Dreams Key West
Reviews
My husband and I stayed at Suite Dreams in
Key West for
five nights last March. This hotel is located near beaches and the quieter side
of town. The Casa Marina Resort is only a couple of blocks away, and when you
stay at suite dreams you get a pass to use their facilities! We were there every
day, laying out on the beach and by the pool. Our room had a private porch and
the entire property is filled with lush gardens. It's a picturesque setting for
a romantic vacation in Key West. When you want to go downtown and crawl from bar
to bar, Duval is six blocks away. There's also scooter and bike rentals at the
Moped Hospital right around the corner. We rented two scooters and made a
nuisance of ourselves the entire vacation. Parking and getting all around is a
breeze with scooters. It's the preferred mode of transportation in Key West.
Louie's Backyard is a fine dining yet somewhat casual atmosphere for drinks and
dinner. The view over the ocean is great. A little further down is the Duval
Beach Club. If you want great food and drinks at a great price, this is the
best. It overlooks south beach and is very casual. Bathing suit dinning is fine.
If you want all the benefits and amenities of a big corporate hotel, without the
high rates and cookie cutter style, look no further than Suite Dreams.
My wife and I had a fantastic vacation in Key West staying at the Suite Dreams.
The host Kay was warm and welcoming, as was her hotel. We felt at home right
away and had all the comforts of home. This is a well kept hotel with full
suites. Located close to Higgs and South Beaches. Our favorite aspect of this
quaint little accommodation was the fact that it's surrounded by homes right on
the edge of oldtown. You'll find yourself much more relaxed and as if you're
returning home after a day of fun and not to a hotel. The neighborhood is quiet
and undisturbed. When you're ready for action, it's as easy as a stroll down to
duval or a short cab ride. The Suite Dreams in Key West is not like any other
hotel we've ever stayed in. It's very special and unique.
This was our fourth vacation to Key West. We wanted something affordable that
was a suite. The name Suite Dreams grabbed our attention and we watched the
video and new right away this way the place for us. Our suite was just as it was
in the virtual tour and was clean. Location is great. We've stayed right down in
town before and regretted it. We had an advantage of being there a few times
before and knew it would be quiet. We like Key West for it's atmosphere and to
get loud. However we aren't exactly spring chickens anymore and can't party
until 4am anymore. The problem with staying so close to everything is that there
are a lot of spring chickens that do want to party and get loud until 4am. When
you jump into a cab right on Duval, you have to practically yell over the music
coming from the bars, when you step out of the cab five minutes later in front
of Suite Dreams, you only compete with the crickets. It's amazing how different
the atmosphere is, just a short distance away. The gardens all around the gated
and fenced grounds provide an elegant tropical setting. If you're looking for a
suite in Key West, for a great price, in a great location, we highly recommend
Suite Dreams. Love the video!
Suite Dreams is great for a short stay, but we stay here every year for the
winter. Perhaps we are a bit spoiled and inclined to rave about the property
because we stay here so long and often. We just wanted to add to these reviews
that vacation rentals are available here and they're great. We felt so at home
as the others were saying, that we decided not to leave on year. This was about
five years ago. We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else, even for a short
time. During the brutal winters up north, the weather is perfect in Key West. It
has never been colder than the high forties at night. Suite Dreams is privately
owned and managed which makes a difference in the service and the product. The
owner Kay is the owner and you can tell she puts a lot of time and love into
this hotel. She's very reasonable with her rates compared to other long term
rentals in the area. When she could probably make more renting for shorter
periods of time, Kay's goal is to make sure her guests are happy and feel at
home. She does a great job.
Our company
recently rented the entire compound. This was the perfect retreat for us
and in the perfect location. I was in charge of finding a private rental
for this large group and was so happy to discover Suite Dreams. They had
a beautiful pool area with a bbq grill and we had multiple kitchens, so
private picnics were great. We all enjoyed it, and we're all talking
about how we can't wait to go back and do it again.
Suite Dreams is the best hotel in Key West. The owner and her staff have
spent a lot of time making sure that guests needs are catered too. They
really go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. A good
example is a binder they have put together for their guests to look
through. It has brochures from every activity there is to do within 50
miles, notes and recommendations, and even menus with favorites marked.
The general care they put into the guests comfort shows in the entire
property. We ended up coming down at the last minute and they had a room
open for us. We looked over the book and had a few ideas but we weren't
sure what was the best use of our vacation time. We called the front
desk to ask for some help and Cynthia said come down and I'll help you
out. We went over our options and planned out all three days worth of
dinning and activities. Not only was this great service, but we had fun!
You just won't be treated like this at any other hotel. We stayed in
the Garden Suite and it was very nice. The hotel suites are wide and
well kept. The pool is heated and going back to the extra mile, if you
want
full resort amenities, just pick up the free pass to the Casa Marina
Resort. Fully functional suites, outstanding service, and great rates.
Very
sweet dreams indeed.
We had some terrible luck and weather on our honeymoon. This was our
first anniversary and we wanted to have the ideal setting. The weather
was
great every day and Suite Dreams turned out to be everything we could
have ever asked for. The suite was a dream, as was the entire
landscaping
all around it. The pool is set in a tropical paradise with flowers and
trees. There's a grill next to the pool, so we didn't find much reason
to
leave. We rented the Super Suite. It too lives up to its name. We had an
incredible time here. When we went out, everything was close by except
the really busy end of Duval St. That was a bit far to walk if you just
go directly there. We found ourselves walking around and exploring,
stopping into the occasional bar and grabbing a drink. Before we knew
it, we were at the other end. We turned around and walked down the other
side of the street. Cynthia was at the front desk most days and she
helped us plan some activities. We went out snorkeling and a sunset
cruise
on the same trip. If you do nothing else, that is a great time. Suite
Dreams is a romantic bungalow worlds away from the norm. We have been
recommending it to friends and will come back for future anniversaries.
Suite Dreams is really different. The hotel itself is rather upscale,
but has a certain Key West charm. I've read a lot of reviews about this
place and most just say how great it is. I think it's not just great.
Great is too generic. My husband and I have stayed in many places in Key
West and other luxury hotels throughout the Caribbean. All are trying to
give off an ambiance that falls short of what Suite Dreams has somehow
hit right on. The balance between fine and tropical is hard to find. The
few that have done a fair job of this decor always seem to fall short
with size or quality. Our suite was laid out perfectly with a spacious
living room, bedroom, and full kitchen. The colors are well thought out
and blend well with the theme. Most hotels use bright colors to convey
cleanliness and a tropical feeling. This typically results in bright
colors that are more of an 80's style. The designer put a significant
amount of time into the smallest details and the result is a true jem.
The
bathroom in our suite was exceptionally elegant. We enjoyed the hard put
into this hotel and will certainly return.
We just spent a fabulous week long vacation at The Suite Dreams. The
hotel is surrounded with lush gardens and the suites are fully equipped.
We
had a full kitchen with up to date appliances and a private patio just
off of the lagoon style heated pool. The pool area had plenty of comfy
lounge chairs and even a grill. The bedroom was large, as was the bath
and everything was very comfortable and clean. With this type of
accommodation you don't always get daily maid service. Not only do you
get daily maid service, but they really do a great job and wait for you
to leave. We didn't exactly jump out of bed each morning. This is Key
West after all. You can walk to most of the action around the island. We
rented bikes and leisurely rode around the island. The first time we
came to Key West, we just did the usual tours and stuck to duval street.
This time we explored all around and went down just about every street.
There are a lot of hidden jems around Key West. We found many historical
homes that were absolutely gorgeous. We love Key West and will plan to
stay with Suite Dreams on our next vacation there.
I recently stayed at Suite Dreams in Key West. I needed a vacation as
wanted a vacation rental. The problem is that most places want you to
rent
for the entire month. I found Suite Dreams here on See A Room Key West
and they were exactly what I was looking for. I also wanted to be close
to the action on Duval and yet be in a quiet residential area. With such
picky criteria, I was very pleased to find Suite Dreams fit the bill
precisely. I rented the Patio Suite for a 2 week stay. It was sweet
dreams for us. We spent our days and evenings enjoying all Key West has
to
offer and had a fully functional suite to come home to. There a lot of
great restaurants in Key West, so the Kitchen was used for preparing
leftovers quite often. Breakfast was made more often then anything else.
We just threw something together and sat out by the pool reminiscing
about the nights festivities. There's a little grocery store not too far
away for stocking up on supplies. There's also a liquor store a few
blocks away for stocking up the private bar. Of coarse there are more
Bars In Key West then just about anywhere else, but cocktails by the
pool
are hard to beat. We had some time to hang out with a few other guests
during our stay. Everyone was very happy with the hotel and their rooms.
The property is a gated compound of lush tropical gardens. It's very
private and separated from the rest of the world.
We stayed at the Key West Suite Dreams last year after a long search. We
spent hours on the web looking for the perfect hotel at the best price.
We didn't want something cheap, but all we were finding was average
places at exorbitant rates. We went during off season to try and find a
deal. After a finding everything we could of asked for at Suite Dreams
we just picked up the phone and called in the reservation this year.
It's a no brainer. We have adult children who come visit us while we
stay there and there is plenty of space for everyone here without having
to deal with the hassle of multiple rooms. They do have dream suites for
couples too. This is a very private setting and romantic. We plan on
returning for our next anniversary on our own without the kids. The pool
is heated and if you want big expensive resort amenities, they provide a
free pass to the Casa Marina Resort. Whether you're looking a simple
hotel room, or a full blown vacation rental, Suite Dreams has you
covered. Great quality, service, location, and price. Easy choice.
I just wanted to say what a lovely time I had at Suite Dreams. The
service was simply top rate. We stayed for five nights and on the second
night our TV just died. We were watching it and it just went black. I
called the front desk and asked if they could do something. We got a
knock on the door about five minutes later with a replacement TV. They
must have taken it from another room, but they didn't hesitate or even
think to bother us with trying to repair it. They just brought us a new
TV and were out the door in a few minutes. The daily maid service was
also very thorough. From check-in to check-out we were treated with warm
smiles and good wishes. The hotel is gated and extremely exclusive. As a
guest, I can say that guests are treated with the utmost respect and
class. The suite we had was lovely and had a patio overlooking the pool.
We felt the Suite Dreams was far from ordinary and we plan to return to
Key West specifically to stay in this wonderful accommodation.
We stayed only a few nights at the Suite Dreams but had a world of fun.
Key West is an awesome place to take a vacation. There's a lot to do. We
hopped over to the Casa Marina Resort right next door every day.
They have a white sand beach, huge pool, and a bar all right there.
There's also jet ski rentals and a pier that goes out into the water. Our suite was huge and had a full kitchen. We
basically stayed for next to nothing because we only ate out for dinner
one night. When we first arrived we picked up groceries at Faustos, a
little home town grocery store down the street. For less than $100 we
had food for the four days and three nights. That left about $75 a day
for other activities or just plain saving money. In the end this was a
very smart move and staying longer in Key West can easily be done. Next
time. Everything from the patio to the bathroom was clean and well kept.
The grounds keeper must work overtime because the grounds are beautiful
with flowering trees and bushes.
My husband and I stayed at Suite Dreams in May. We were greeted by the
owner at check in and she was more than happy to provide dinning idea
and activities. We were hoping to do our usual, which is make friends
with a local and get the real scoop on the island. This is rarely the
person behind the front desk at the hotel. It wasn't even like dealing
with the typical concierge. She didn't have any agenda or preferred
vendors that she dealt with. She asked us what we were interested in and
took the time to get to know us a little before give us very specific
recommendations. It was very obvious that she actually cared about
whether or not we had a good time. We ended going snorkeling, fishing,
and on a jet ski tour. It's hard to say which one was the best. We spent
a full day out on the water and we ended up catching 17 dolphin fish
(mahi mahi). That was an experience. They are lots of fun to catch. The
go crazy and jump all around. We brought some back to the suite and my
husband made us the best fresh fish we've every had. They are very
popular in restaurants, but having them that fresh at the end of an
incredible day on the water just seems to make them taste better. The
quality of the hotel and the service makes Suite Dreams our choice for
accommodations in Key West. Every time we come back.
We recently took a tour of Florida and decided to spend some time in the
Florida Keys. After looking things over on the internet we quickly
realized that Key West was the place to be. We spent a couple of nights
up the Key West and found that we should have just gone directly down to
Key West. We had booked five of our seven nights in the Keys, in Key
West. After exhausting many hours looking at pictures and virtual tours,
we chose Suite Dreams based on the video and great reviews. We I can
tell you after five glorious nights in my sweet suite, that the people
reviewing this place are way off. They have written about how great this
hotel of suites is. It's not great. Take it from someone who has stayed
all over Florida and did her research. This hotel is phenomenal. No
review or picture will ever convey what this hotel really is. The owner
(Kay) has been written about, how friendly and helpful she is. I have
confirmed, this is very true. I read about how the rooms are spacious
and clean. Everything is as advertised and far beyond great reviews. The
attention to small details and the level of personal service can not be
matched. Much less beaten. Reading other reviews about other hotels in
Key West, we knew we wanted to stay out of earshot of the bars in
downtown Key West. Everyone who recommends staying a bit off of the
beaten path is telling you good information. It really doesn't matter
where on the island you end up staying. You will be close to the action.
The difference will only be measured in short walks most of the time.
There definitely two ends of the island. One is quiet and classy. The
other end is a loud party scene that's loads of fun. We danced the
nights away and played on the beach and in the water during the day. Key
West is a great place to take a vacation and Suite Dreams is the place
to stay.
