Tree Top * Pool / Patio * King * Super Suite * Gardens
We had some terrible luck and weather
on our honeymoon. This was our first anniversary and we wanted to have the ideal
setting. The weather was great every day and Suite Dreams turned out to be
everything we could have ever asked for. The suite was a dream, as was the
entire landscaping all around it. The pool is set in a tropical paradise with
flowers and trees. There's a grill next to the pool, so we didn't find much
reason to leave. We rented the Super Suite. It too lives up to its name. We had
an incredible time here. When we went out, everything was close by except the
really busy end of Duval St. That was a bit far to walk if you just go directly
there. We found ourselves walking around and exploring, stopping into the
occasional bar and grabbing a drink. Before we knew it, we were at the other
end. We turned around and walked down the other side of the street. Cynthia was
at the front desk most days and she helped us plan some activities. We went out
snorkeling and a sunset cruise on the same trip. If you do nothing else, that is
a great time. Suite Dreams is a romantic bungalow worlds away from the norm. We
have been recommending it to friends and will come back for future
anniversaries.
Suite Dreams is really different. The hotel itself is rather upscale, but has a
certain Key West charm. I've read a lot of reviews about this place and most
just say how great it is. I think it's not just great. Great is too generic. My
husband and I have stayed in many places in Key West and other luxury hotels
throughout the Caribbean. All are trying to give off an ambiance that falls
short of what Suite Dreams has somehow hit right on. The balance between fine
and tropical is hard to find. The few that have done a fair job of this decor
always seem to fall short with size or quality. Our suite was laid out perfectly
with a spacious living room, bedroom, and full kitchen. The colors are well
thought out and blend well with the theme. Most hotels use bright colors to
convey cleanliness and a tropical feeling. This typically results in bright
colors that are more of an 80's style. The designer put a significant amount of
time into the smallest details and the result is a true jem. The bathroom in our
suite was exceptionally elegant. We enjoyed the hard put into this hotel and
will certainly return.
