I stayed at the Sheraton Key West on South Roosevelt Street the last week in April. The hotel consists of all suites which I truly enjoyed. The suite I rented was the perfect size for me to really relax and get some writing done. I write children books and recently found myself needing to get away from the distractions of every day life. Since the Sheraton Key West is so close to Smathers Beach I was able to walk down to the water and observe children playing with the seashores sea life. I have several creative personalities of sea creatures depicted in my next book. It was a wonderful place to stay while exploring the imagination. As an adult it was also nice that I was able to get room service and a paper delivered to my door each day.
My wife and I stayed at the Sheraton Key West Hotel for our last vacation to the island. It was the first time we had stayed there but the fifth time to Key West. We tend to always stay somewhere on Duval Street but for this trip we figured we should try a new area of exploration and focus the trip more on the beach verses the bar life because my wife is expecting our first child. The suite we got was awesome. Much bigger than the rooms we were used to renting and the cleanliness was perfect. We have also had the misfortune in the past to rent a hotel solely on the pictures yet upon arrival found filth underfoot. Never in Key West thankfully but be careful when you rent a place in the Bahamas! We had a great time and look forward to returning next year.
Spring break two thousand and eight rocked this year! I am a med student from FSU and put together the itinerary and lodgings for my friends and I this year. I chose the Sheraton Key West because of the pictures and price I found on the internet. We had the best time. The pool in particular was amazing. It was huge and tropical, right next to the beach, and the suite my girlfriend and I stayed in was very beautiful. We aren’t rowdy students but we do like to hang out in each others rooms before dinner and after for conversations on what to do next. It was cool that all of us had ample room to stretch out and figure on the day’s events. The free shuttle to the down town area came in very handy as well. We were all able to be responsible and during several times in the trip Shelly and I could just go back to our room and catch up with everyone else later without worrying about cab fare. Great break!
I stayed at the Sheraton Key West a week ago for an impromptu vacation. I did not realize how difficult it would be to get a room last minute. Thankfully I had my laptop with me. After several fruitless hours of stopping, parking, stopping parking, and more of the same, I had pretty much giving up hope that we were going to find an available hotel and would have to drive back to Miami that night. When the reservationist says to you things do sell out, believe them. I later heard the motto in Key West from a local hotel receptionist at one of my favorite watering holes, “it’s a two by four mile island, and there are only so many rooms for rent and a great many people who want them.” I stopped off at an internet café and fired up the internet for help. This site proved most helpful. I called directly and got a suite for a week. I would have done with far less but this place was beautiful, clean, and spacious. We had a great vacation, partly because of this site and partly because of the Sheraton Key West!
