We stayed at the Key West Bed Breakfast or the Popular House over the New Years holiday this past year. We had a stupendous time. The lovely house had so many treasures on the walls and in the rooms, each one with their own unique charm. If you are looking for a good downtown location then the location of this accommodation can't be beat. Everyone knows that Duval Street in nuts so if you can manage to party close by and still be provided a quiet retreat to come home to you wont need a car during our stay. But what we thought made this b&b really unique was the staff. The daytime manager, in particular provided services above and beyond our high expectations. We felt like she was a vast resource for all the best things to do on the island as well as places to eat. She even took on the added responsibilities by getting us reservations on New Years Eve and at the last minute at that. I loved staying at the Key West Bed and Breakfast so much that we are returning there next year. The experience was like staying with old dear friends.

My husband and I try to get down to Key West once a year from Miami. It's close and in the off season it's affordable if you shop around a little. we like the feeling and higher level of service you get from a privately owned bed and breakfast, of which there are plenty to choose from. Location vary and quality does as well. Typically you'll pay a little more the closer to Mallory square you get. We've stayed in several different bnb's and I found the Popular House on this website and thought I'd write a little review. First of all the service and friendliness of the staff will not be beaten, even if you pay a lot more which we have plenty of times. Key West is a laid back place and that's what we love about it, but this accommodation has a staff that really makes sure you have no worries and even turned us onto some undiscovered areas and restaurants. The price was actually cheap in my experience with immediately neighboring hotels. The Popular House is just a few short blocks off of Duval Street and you're right in the main district with all the bars and easy walking distance to Mallory Square and everything. Most places will charge a lot more for such a good location, so that was a big reason I booked here and will likely stay here for the remainder of our trips down to Key West. All the usual accolades can be given to this beautiful 3 story Victorian mansion turned hotel. Comfortable beds, great staff, free breakfast, porches and even a hammock to relax in while reading a book. I could make a list here but the fact is you'll want for nothing, pay less than other vacationers staying all around you, and if you're anything like me you'll won't stay anywhere else.
