Our arrival
at The Paradise Inn Key West was a bit early before normal check in time and we
were told that the room wasn't ready. The front desk offered us a few options as
we waited just a few minutes. Just as we were about to go explore the island and
come back later, we were told our room had been expedited and was ready. We were
able to check in immediately which was an indication of the service we could
expect from this first class Inn. We had reserved a suite that overlooked the
pool area which was extremely clean. The room had a microwave, coffee and tea
makers. Bottled water was even
provided later in the day. The king size bed was lovely and comfortable.
Having two televisions allowed our son to watch his cartoons, and we could
watch ours. This is something I've never seen in any hotel and it's a set up I
find myself wanting now that I'm home. The layout of the
bathroom was also convenient with a
separate sink and vanity with hair dryer and mirror. We quickly found ourselves
at home in the Paradise Inn. The pool and spa area was nicely maintained and
looked inviting. Our most difficult decision of the day was whether to hit down
town or just relax by the pool. We often enjoyed both. Duval street is only one
block away and we lightly walked to everything we wanted to see. The Key West
trolley tour stops near Hemingway's house, which is just a couple of
blocks away from the hotel. This way a great way to see the entire island and
discover you're right in the heart of Old Town. The Paradise Inn has a computer
with internet access in the lobby free of charge. We used it to check in with
family via e-mail and printed our airline boarding passes. The staff is
attentive and eager to please with a smile. We felt welcome from the moment we
arrived until we left. We went down to Mallory Square one evening for the sunset
celebration. Not only is the sunset amazing over the water from here but it's
like a market with circus performers at the same time. It's free and really
entertaining with a family fun kind of atmosphere. Key West is a great place and
the Paradise Inn lives up to it's name.
The paradise Inn is like an ultra luxurious Caribbean retreat. Breakfast follows
the theme with lovely pastries, orange juice, hard boiled eggs, and more
displayed beautifully. The pool is lovely and surrounded by lush highly
manicured gardens. It's not meant for swimming laps but is nice for a dip. The
staff is friendly and the hotel is well located.
My husband and I stayed in a full suite at the Paradise Inn for six nights last
week. I found them here and booked directly which was convenient. I found your
reviews helpful and to be right on the money. I thought I would come back and
return the favor. If you are searching for a quaint, laid back and stylish
enclave to escape the madness of oldtown Key West. The have clean large
well equipped rooms, a friendly and attentive staff and a sparkling pool and hot
tub area that is surrounded by luscious tropical landscaping. The full suite
offered a spacious living room and a sofa sleeper that pulled out to reveal a
queen bed. The main bedroom featured a king size bed. The entire suite had high
ceilings and Bahama ceiling fans. Other amenities where a small frige and
microwave in the living room area. A lovely breakfast was served in the lobby
featuring delicious coffees, a variety of teas, and pastries. The concierge was
always happy to provide excellent advice and reservations for everything from
excursions to restaurants and historical landmarks. The Paradise Inn is almost
right in the center of the oldtown area and the longest walk is down to the
Mallory Square. We found our selves just strolling down Duval and ended up there
at the right time anyway. If you find yourself by the pool or at the hotel and
want to head directly there for sunset you can probably get down there in about
ten minutes or a three minute cab ride. If you're traveling here via plane I
don't recommend renting a car. The cab ride to the Paradise Inn from the airport
was $15. If you rent a car you will just park it the entire time and waist
money. My 12 year old son also loved the hotel. We went on a snorkeling trip out
to the reef and he has never been so excited. He's still talking about what a
great time he had that day, and I am too for that matter. We were very pleased
with every aspect of this vacation and the Paradise Inn had a lot to do with it.
I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
