We spent a glorious week in Key West at the lovely Olivia By Duval hotel. We had a two bedroom, two bath suite that we rented with our friends. The entire staff was accommodating and personable. The room was like our own private bungalow in the Caribbean. We used the grill out by the pool for a BBQ and picnic. Some other folks staying at the hotel went out and got some more food and beer and we had a big party out by the pool and enjoyed the weather a made new friends. This is a small hotel, so it's easy to get to know the other people staying there. Everyone was very happy with their accommodations. There were some staying in their small economy rooms and the other suites. Everyone said they had gotten what they had expected and after talking about it, found out that most had watched the video and found Olivia here on See  A Room Key West. We agreed that someone should come back here and write a rave review. I volunteered. Rave Review! I think we'll all be back!


Olivia by Duval is a great Hotel in a great location on the island of Key West. It's just a block off of Duval Street, yet closer to the quieter southern end. We liked being away from the loud bars and party atmosphere in the evening. We enjoyed the nightlife and the loud bars too, but when it's time to get some sleep I'd prefer to be where things are quiet. We spoke with other guests who were also pleased with their rooms. The manager was very friendly and was around to answer questions we had about the hotel and Key West. A friend recommended Olivia when we mentioned we were looking for an above average hotel for a below average price. He and his wife had stayed here and said it was the best place fitting that description. If you're looking for the same thing we were, then you won't be let down. It was great.

We go to Key West at least a few times every year. We live in Miami so this is a convenient getaway for us. We have stayed in many of the affordable hotels, of which there are few. We discovered Olivia by Duval for our last trip and I doubt we will ever stay elsewhere. This is the hotel for you if you're looking for something nice right downtown. The staff is warm and welcoming, the location is tops, the price is cheap, and the rooms are a keys style. Despite it being right off of Duval, noise was never an issue. We slept great and will be back soon.
