Marquesa Hotel Key West Reviews:
Decadent luxury, those two flowery words would sum up my recent experience at
the Marquesa Hotel in Key West Florida.
I have read many reviews about the Marquesa all over the internet and it
intrigued my interests greatly. I took a vacation to Key West years ago and
stayed at the
Best Western. They
had a pool and nice enough room, but they were not downtown. Some friends told
us that the Casa
Marina Resort was nice and that it had ocean view rooms. Another place I
considered was the
Fairfield Inn but it wasn't in oldtown. Finally, I made the decision to book
a room for an extended weekend off of work. I took a lady friend of mine and
headed down the highway. Five hours later, a slight sun kissing do to the
Corvette convertible we were traveling in and one of the best views of the ocean
ever we arrived at the Marquesa. Once shown to our room we opened a bottle of
Champaign that we called to have ready in our room and took a deep breath. It
was a superiorly beautiful and upper class room. The view from our room was of a
lovely piece of garden that was meticulously tended to. We finished our bottle
and then walked downstairs for our supper. The food will knock your socks off.
The atmosphere and cuisine are of an extraordinary quality. It isn’t cheep to
stay or eat there but after the experience I would have paid more. Though I am
glad I did not have to. For a weekend away from stress and life I recommend the
Marquesa Hotel in Key West.
My
husband and I spent our twentieth year wedding anniversary at the Marquesa Hotel
Key West a few weeks ago. We travel to Key West often and usual go cheap by
staying at the Westwinds
because they are near Duval and have two pools. The entire stay was perfect. We
travel quite extensively all over the world but lately we have wanted to visit
the wonders that our country the United States has to offer. Perhaps it was the
grand room we were lucky to stay in or the location of the hotel that made for
such a magical experience for us. The restaurant was tantalizing in every way.
We celebrated the actual day of our anniversary with dinner there. We did not
need a car to get anywhere we wanted to go and quite frankly we did not need to
go anywhere because the pool area was so beautiful I could have stayed in our
room or by the pool everyday and have had the best time! Stay at the Marquesa
Hotel if you are on the fence about it. You will not be sorry that you did!
