La Mer and Dewey House Key West Reviews
We were able
to visit the Dewey and La Mer in late May and couldn't have had a better time.
The sumptuous grounds were beautiful and very well maintained, the rooms we
rented were spacious and extremely well appointed, the bathrooms were larger for
a Bed and Breakfast type accommodation, and the featherbed topper that covered
beds were a dream. This experience was pure and simple relaxation as we
woke up and wandered down stairs to the delicious breakfast spread the hotel
offers their patrons the pastries, fruit, cereal, Belgian waffles, and host of
beverages located on the open porch overlooking the Atlantic ocean every
morning. We enjoyed afternoon tea which was served along with more
pastries, fruit, and other beverages. We found this the perfect to indulge in
when you come back to your room after a sun filled time out on their beach. In
the evening hours, you can take a walk down to Duval St. to the many
restaurants, the great shops and lots of bars. When you have had your fill you
can then head back home to the Dewey and La Mer for a restful and
ultimately peaceful night's sleep.
We had the most wonderful time at the La Mer and Dewey House over the summer.
The hotels were great and the service was extremely helpful and more than just
friendly they ere downright wonderful. How many hotels have you stayed at that
replaces their towels more than once a day? The scrumptious chocolates on our
pillows with the turn-down service was a wonderful treat! The staff gave us
great recommendations for activities and dining out. I'd recommend the Dewey and
La Mer to even my closest friends, especially those who'd like to enjoy all of
the fantastic sights and sounds of Key West, knowing that they will be able to
get a little rest and relaxation in as well.
