My
last Key West Vacation was the most
incredibly exciting and
Romantic Vacation to the island I have had in over ten times of
staying there. Part, a large part, of the reason for this superior vacation has
to be the hotel I chose for myself and boyfriend. The Heron House Key
West is hidden in the tropical oasis a quarter block off of the popular Duval
Street. You would never know you were so close to the hippest area of town while
in your room though. It was quiet and serene. We like to travel to Key West
every year or two. We've stayed at the
Island City House
which is located just down the street and very comparable. We were so close to Mallory square
that we never missed a sunset at the festival. We felt perfectly safe walking
back to the Heron House at all hours of the night. The pool was nestled
discretely in the belly of the property and we spent most of our day’s right
there reading and soaking up the Key West sun. On some in trip on the future we
may stay at a bed and breakfast on the beach like the
Dewey House
which is supposed to the best and only beach front bed and breakfast in Key
West. We have already made reservations
for next year’s vacation at the Heron House.
The
Heron House Key West was a pleasure to stay at. The room we rented was beautiful
and complete with everything we needed for a fantastic vacation in Key West. The
views were speckled with tropical foliage and people watching, the perfect Key
West combination. It reminded us of the
Paradise Inn which
is another luxury hotel that is unique like the Heron House. We like the more
local feel of these luxury type hotels. They have a lot of charm and character
you just don't find in travel around this country anyway. The pool was more than refreshing and clean. I have stayed at
properties in the past where the pool cleanliness left a lot to be desired.
The Casa 325 has a
great secluded pool and is hidden away right in the heart of old town and on
Duval street. Nobody wants to wade into a fresh water pool only to avoid the numerous leaves
and dead flower-seed droppings. No, the Heron House kept a very tidy property in
all its rights. We felt that the staff was worth mentioning as well. The moment
we arrived we were treated as though we they were very glad to have us staying
with them, as if we were important or something. Well, more important than we
actually are as customers anyway. Everything considered we can’t complain about
a thing. The airline lost our luggage, but that wasn’t the Heron Houses fault!
