Doubletree Grand Key Resort Key West Reviews

My husband and I stayed at The Doubletree Grand Key Resort for only two nights. This is our only complaint. We wanted to stay longer. We never got a chance to really experience everything the hotel has to offer. We enjoyed our short time at the hotel very much. We were offered an upgraded room when we checked in for a discount. We took the option and where glad we did. We received a superior king room with a separate Jacuzzi and shower stall. The room had a nice sized balcony that overlooked the pool and incredibly. Of coarse the comfortable king sized bed that we slept like babies in. The resort looks like new and was meticulously maintained. The shuttle service is quite efficient, running every hour to the oldtown area. In regard to Key West pricing, The doubletree is a more than reasonable value. We would not hesitate to return to the Doubletree for a future stay and look forward to it infact.

Key West is the best key of all the Florida Keys. The others are mostly residential with a few run down hotels and bars. Where else in the USA can you find white sand beaches, gourmet restaurants, fine museums, art galleries, and a living coral reef. Nowhere. Key West has a significant variety of activities for different people and ages. We arrived in Key West ready to sleep after a long drive. Check in was a breeze, we got our cookie, and slept great in our gorgeous room. If you want a resort at bed and breakfasts prices, choose the Grand Key Resort. I recommend walking around and taking in the vast amount of culture in Key West. From the pirates that first lived here to the exocentric natives that call this place home now. There is no other place like it. This is a safe city to explore no matter what time it is. I read the crime report in the local paper and had some good laughs. Mostly stories of people getting naked and climbing telephone poles. Things of that nature. The locals are extremely welcoming and friendly. From the breath taking beaches during the day to the hopping bars and restaurants in the evening, this island paradise will keep you on you entertained.


My husband, two sons and I, stayed at the Doubletree Resort in June. I came back to your site and thought I'd leave a review. I booked directly with the hotel and got the best rate I had found anywhere. The hotel was very classy and the staff very helpful and courteous. I made my reservations based on the best rate for a standard room. When we arrived we were given a free upgrade to a superior room with two queen beds. This was a great start to a great experience with the Grand Key. The room was lovely. We had mini-bar with mini-fridge  which had a nice variety of drinks available to buy and enough room left over to keep your own drinks and leftovers, which we used often. We had a small balcony overlooking the pool with a couple of chairs and a table. The pool is heavenly. Complete with a small waterfall, zero entry, and even a small sand/beach like area. There was a bar steps away from the pool, and a waitress made rounds and too our drink orders. We where so happy. We had the breakfast buffet each morning at the hotel which was high in quality and low in price. You have the choice of the buffet or you could order off of the menu as well. If you ate from one side of the buffet it was free, but for four dollars more you got the whole thing, so that was a no brainier for us. The wait staff was very quick with anything we needed. On our last day we had an early flight, so we requested breakfast to go early in the morning. The restaurant manager made special arrangements for us to have our breakfast packed and ready to go when we got ready to leave. Again, from beginning to end the service at the Grand Key is top notch.  The shuttle is the best way to get to oldtown. Highly recommend the Doubletree Grand Key Resort for a family atmosphere and exceptional service.
