We only stayed at the Doubletree Resort for two nights in April and wish we would have been able to stay longer. If we didn't have prepaid flights we would have extended our stay. The staff was courteous, their standard rooms are spacious, nicely appointed and very well maintained. We felt they provided much more value and quality in their product than the price reflected. We partook in the complimentary shuttle to oldtown and return to the resort. Another service we were very satisfied with. We enjoyed breakfast each morning at the restaurant which was a buffet style. Again an exceptional value for the quality.


Stayed at the Doubletree Grand Key Resort with my children last week. This is a family friendly hotel in Key West that is a step above the others in the area for the same if not lower prices. It's not downtown but that was fine for us. We have young kids so bar hopping isn't what they're into for now. They have a shuttle that drops you off in oldtown right next to the sunny days catamarans. They take daily trips out to the reef. Now this was something the kids were into. There's an aquarium in the lobby they were enthralled with and it was like swimming in the aquarium the next day out at the reef. If you go to Key West for nothing else, take your kids and yourself out to the reef. It's the only real living coral reef in North America and is a true wonder to see. The ladies behind the front desk were kind, the rooms were large and stylish. The beds were comfortable and provided ample jumping up and down for the kids for the first hour we were there. Noise was never and issue, from outside of our room anyway. The hotel is solid concrete construction so it well insulated from the noise from floor to floor and side to side. We couldn't have asked for more than we received for our vacation.
