A superior experience for the both of us! My lady friend and I figured we would try a Key West bed and breakfast out for the first time! We were told about the conch house from a friend of ours who had stayed there once before and loved it. I wasn't until we saw the pictures on see a room key west that we decided to give it a whirl. The characteristically Caribbean room that we rented was actually detached from the main building proper. We essentially had our own little cottage. It was wonderfully clean and spacious. The decorations transported your imagination to a whole new plain of existence. We got a last minute deal that ended up costing us considerably less than we had actually budgeted for. I love saving money. The hotels staff was beyond outstanding, extremely accommodating when it came to directions and maps. Because of the close proximity to all the neat stuff we did not need to rent a car, or even a moped. We decided to rent a couple of bikes. If not for anything else, to burn off some conch fritters! Our overall perception of the Conch House was that we could not have possibly been more impressed or happy with our accommodations.
We are a traveling couple yet we have never stayed at a a typical Bed and Breakfast in the past. Quite frankly we were not looking forward to it this time either. However, we were on a budget and it was a special event, so we had to make the exception with what we could find available. We loved it! The Conch house has made believers out of us! The room we were given room was so large and spotlessly clean. The owe-la-la French doors that opened onto the wrap around lanai was the perfect spot watch the world go by. The pool could not have been more refreshing or clean. We were in it every day and the owner and staff made each second an experience of kindness and fun. This house just had a nice feel to it, a certain Junoesque. Rooms were nothing short of charming. Even during the special events they are reasonably priced. I will return but try and pick dates that are not on a special event to get the best rates. We took a stroll down to Duval street everyday but when the day was threw we headed back to the piece and quiet of the Conch house. The lovely breakfast was just what our tummies needed to start the day anew! Wonderful experience!
Myself, my wife, and mother-in-law traveled to Key West in the middle of March where we stayed a while in this charming Bed and Breakfast. The moment we arrived at the Conch House we were taken in by a very friendly woman by the name of Isabelle. She took such good care of us and went out of her way to make sure we felt welcome. She also took the time to explain all the special little things about Key West. Our rooms wee nothing short of extraordinary. Thankfully my wife and I had a separate room from my mother-in-law. The antiques that adorned each of our rooms were something to see. We collect them ourselves so we were more impressed than most I would think. My Mother-in-laws room had a sitting area and a comfortable queen size bed. It really was one of the prettiest rooms I have ever seen had the privilege to sleep in. We usually stay in B&Bs across America and in Europe so to say we were impressed is something to consider. We needed to reserve our room because it had a large king sized bed; I am over six feet tall. The guest rooms we had viewed while we were there transported us to another, more elegant and simple time. We fancied sitting outside on the lovely porch in the mornings while we drank our coffee and had our breakfast. The entire Guesthouse is charming, and beautifully maintained. The incredible staff including the owner makes you feel extraordinarily welcomed at all times. They do everything in there power to do to make sure you enjoy the island of Key West and their fine home the Conch House. Masterful location, really convenient and quiet. You are so close to Duval Street, yet a deal less busy. We will be back again!
My Boyfriend and I found
the Conch House on the internet on this site and felt it was a good price for
the amenities, location, and comfort. The entire place was well maintained,
extremely relaxing and comfortable. The hosts of the house were very helpful and
bubbly. At first we were worried about the possible traffic on Truman Ave, but
never had a problem getting a good nights sleep. We booked a downstairs room for
a great price, I would describe it as a suite with large sitting area. It was
real comfortable and the bed was great with nice linens. The breakfast was
awesome with breads, lots of muffins, selection of fruit, juices and hot coffee.
The location turned out to be perfect. For first timers we were not sure what to
expect, now we will expect nothing less!
