Sailing only in season from the Marco River Marina in Marco Island, the M/V Whale Watcher is a 130' Super Cruiser, powered by 5 jet drives. It is the fastest trip to Key West. It features two enclosed, air conditioned cabins, sun deck, and full galley and bar.

Key
West is a vacationer’s paradise. With crystal clear waters,
white sandy beaches, a subtropical climate, and average
temperatures of 78°F, who wouldn’t want to get away from it all

handicapped accessible to the main deck and knowledgeable,
friendly, and courteous crew members are ready and able to help
if you need assistance. Standard-sized, single-person riding

Boating in Key west can come in many forms. You can rent your own for a day with your party on the seas in private. You could rent a Key West boat complete with a captain and crew that will navigate as well as bait your hook for you. If your a novice boater I recommend the second option. It wasn't just years ago when galleons, vessels and ships ran a ground and sank. You are just as likely to hit a patch of sand or reef if you do not know where you are going. The third option is boating with large groups. like the ones listed below. These are guided tours of all sorts that will create a magnificent and stress less boating day for you and your loved ones. My husband and I were visiting family in the Fort Myers / Cape Coral area and discussed taking the Express Ferry service to Key West for the day. After a little research, we decided to make it down the last day of our vacation. I searched for coupons all over the place because it wasn't cheap, especially last minute. I came across your site and did some research on places to stay and car rentals. It ended up being a lot more affordable to simply jump on the boat and enjoy the island for a day obviously. Considering the amount of time it takes to drive down from Fort Myers (7 hours each way), the cost of gas and a rental car, it ended up being much cheaper and just made sense to take the ferry.
For anyone who has experienced a ferry or small cruise ship, most are the same; old and fairly uncomfortable. Not to mention boring. The Express was a very different experience. It was like a luxury yacht! Big screen Tv's, full bar, well staffed, big cushy chairs and simply a far cry from what I've ever seen. Not only is this the easy way to see the Caribbean, it's an experience in itself!
We had plenty of time to see the island and get a taste. We know that we want to plan things a little better and go snorkeling, enjoy some nightlife, and experience a weekend there at the least. We both were extremely impressed with out little excursion and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit this tropical paradise in style!
