Blue Marlin Key West Reviews

I finally took a vacation in March, and it was a spur of the moment decision. I grabbed my boyfriend and put him in front of the computer and said lets get out of here for the weekend! We thoroughly searched through all of See a Room Key West and called the Blue Marlin to check availability. They had just one room that cancelled last minute and that worked great for our wanting a room last minute! We based our decision to call on price more than anything else. The vacation Gods were shining down on us! The Blue Marlin ended up being a great decision. When we got down there we realized how lucky we really were. Every single hotel we walked by had No Vacancy posted on their signs. I think if you came down here on a whim I think you could easy end up sleeping in your car. Key West is not a big place and it's popular, especially in March. Our room was clean, the hotel itself felt very safe and open, and best of all it was in the vicinity of the main bars, restaurants, and shopping on duval. We just wanted to get away and chill out. My boyfriend and I had lots of fun doing the Duval crawl and being lazy on the nearby beach. We would recommend the Blue Marlin and recommend calling ahead. There's nothing in this price range in the immediate area that is this nice and it's been discovered!
I read the reviews you have about the Blue Marlin before booking my room and someone had said the rooms where big. I just got back and wanted tell you that the room on the corner right above the office wasn't big, it was huge! The usual praises of cleanliness and great prices. My favorite amenity was the a/c since we traveled there during the summer. The pool was very close second for all the right reasons. Free breakfast was the right price and was enjoyed in my monster size room each morning. I would definitely recommend the Blue Marlin Motel to anyone who wants to be downtown in Key West and not sell their first born!
I have been vacationing
in Key West for 12 years now. I have tried other BnB's, Guesthouses, hotels, and
motels but I always go back to the Blue Marlin. It's the same thing every time;
"should have stayed at the Marlin". South beach and all of Old Town are at your
fingertips. Believe it or not but a pool is something many accommodations don't
have. I personally love a pool and nice beach. The Blue marlin offers the best
of both at a great rate every time.
We just spent 7 nights at the Blue Marlin in Key West and read all these great
reviews before we left so felt comfortable. We figured we would find something
wrong to write about it, but can't really complain. It's not five star luxury
but not at all shabby. Our room was clean and the furniture was in good
condition. I clean carpets and they had clean carpets. Breakfast is served from
7 - 9 each morning and gets the job done. Everything is fresh. Free coffee is
available 24 hours a day, of which I partook plenty. Looking at the virtual
tours and pictures we thought it was a bit odd that the pool was literally in
the middle of the parking lot, but what you can't see is that it's raised up
about six feet. So you see sky when you lay out and not cars. We enjoyed the
pool thoroughly. The staff was friendly and glad to give recommendations on
anything in the area.
